Coverdell Education IRAs
Open a Coverdell Education Savings Account (CESA) to finance a child's elementary, secondary, technical, college, or post-graduate educational expenses. This account (formerly known as an Education IRA) is a long-term savings; earnings accumulate tax-free and all distributions are tax-free when used for qualified educational expenses. Unused balances can even be passed on to benefit another family member.
